| Summary | The new landing platform for rescue helicopters at Klinikum Barnim GmbH in Eberswalde was opened on 20 April 2007. Between 20 April 2007 and 20 October 2008, helicopters landed 140 times at Klinikum Barnim GmbH. One hundred and four patients were taken to Eberswalde - 36 patients were flown out for further treatment. The diagnoses of these 140 patients were analyzed. This paper presents a proposal for an internal emergency system after the landing of a rescue helicopter at Klinikum Barnim GmbH. The final section includes a discussion of whether a new rescue helicopter being stationed in Barnim or Uckermark could increase the efficiency of the emergency services. |
